THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Casa Maca
At Casa Maca, mornings start on a terrace overlooking the garden, then a decision: breakfast by the outdoor pool or a short walk into Ibiza Town, close enough to be a stroll rather than a trip. The hotel keeps just ten rooms, each individually decorated with a private spa tub, an LED television, and its own terrace, a detail rarely found in a property this size. Reception runs 24 hours with staff fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and French, useful when arranging the airport transfer, priced at 80 euros both ways. Days here tend to fill themselves: a library, a picnic area, a barbecue spot, and a diving club sit alongside a business center for anyone who cannot fully step away from work. A poolside bar and a Mediterranean restaurant with an ocean view cover most meals, and a playroom means families are not an afterthought. What separates Casa Maca from the other small hotels nearby is that pairing of a private spa tub in every room with a four-language staff, a combination usually reserved for hotels several times its size. It will not suit everyone. There is no elevator, and with no confirmation of ground-floor rooms, anyone with heavy luggage or limited mobility should ask before booking. Pets are not welcome either. For a traveler who prefers a small hotel to a large one, who does not mind a staircase, and who would rather have a spa tub than a lobby full of strangers, Casa Maca offers something the bigger hotels in town rarely manage: the feel of staying somewhere run by people who actually live there. Casa Maca keeps just ten individually decorated rooms, each with a private spa tub, minutes from central Ibiza Town on foot. There is no elevator and pets are not allowed, but the 24-hour, four-language staff and Mediterranean restaurant make it feel more like a well-run house than a hotel.

Alongside its guestrooms, Casa Maca operates a small nightclub and a shared lounge, giving guests a place to socialise on site rather than heading into Ibiza Town for the evening. Combined with onsite massage therapy, the mix of amenities suits travellers who want both nightlife energy and relaxation within a rural property near the city centre.
Movie lovers can enjoy the hotel's in-house cinema, while shoppers can explore the on-site stores.
The hotel grounds are a treasure trove with a picturesque garden and a playground.
A transfer service and shuttle bus are available for easy exploration of the surrounding area.
The hotel's restaurant caters to various dietary needs, with special catering options available.
