Sofras-Style Dining at the Water's Edge
At Kyrimai's restaurant on Gerolimenas Port, lunch revives sofras, the old Maniot table where small dishes once gathered families together. Each day an outdoor kitchen and wood-fired oven prepare dishes sourced from local producers, served barefoot by the bay. Breakfast and dinner menus continue the same devotion to Maniot heritage, simplicity and contemporary culinary creativity.
A 19th-Century Trading Post Reborn
Rising above Gerolimenas Port since 1870, Kyrimai occupies a restored complex of stone store, residence, warehouse and tower once central to Mani's Mediterranean trade. The former wine storage room now serves as reception, while old books and handwritten records uncovered during restoration recall the port's commercial past beneath stone arches and inner courtyards.
