Anyone who wants to walk to restaurants, bars, or a lively centre should look elsewhere: the property sits about four kilometres out from Blackheath, on Dharug and Gundungurra Country, closer to Evans Lookout and the Grand Canyon trailhead than to any main street, and it runs as a base for hiking, canyoning, and forest bathing rather than a destination in itself. There's a library, a picnic area, a terrace, and a golf course and conference hall for the rare guest who needs one. Check-in from 3pm and check-out by 10:30am leave no rush at either end. As an SLH-Hilton partner, it carries outside recognition alongside its own independence. An extra bed for a child costs 140 AUD a night, depending on room size, and pets are not permitted.
