THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Palladium Hotel
Above the join between Psarou and Platys Gialos beaches, a three-minute walk from either, Palladium's pool terrace catches the Aegean from two directions at once, which is the reason guests linger past checkout rather than the reason they book. Built in 1994 and kept to just 48 rooms across two floors, this is a small hotel with an outsized appetite for privacy: several of its suites come with their own plunge pool or outdoor hot tub, tucked behind garden walls rather than lined up along a shared terrace, an arrangement few properties of this size in Mykonos can match. Blé Restaurant lays out more than a hundred breakfast dishes, gluten-free and vegan among them, before La Veranda takes over for Greek Mediterranean lunches and dinners served beside the pool. The spa runs to an indoor heated pool, steam shower and hair salon, and staff switch between English, French and German without missing a beat. None of this suits anyone chasing a big-resort buzz, a kids' club, or a room for the extended family; the two-floor layout and 48 rooms keep things intimate rather than full of options, and pets are not permitted. It suits two people who want Psarou's cachet and Platys Gialos's water sports within reach, but who would rather spend the evening on a private terrace than in a crowd. What Palladium has that its neighbours mostly don't is that combination: real proximity to Mykonos's two most talked-about beaches, and enough private pools and hot tubs scattered through the rooms that seclusion doesn't mean giving up the view. Book the suite with the pool. That's where the three-minute walk stops mattering. Palladium sits above Psarou and Platys Gialos, a three-minute walk from both, with suites that hide a private pool or hot tub behind garden walls. Breakfast alone runs to a hundred dishes before La Veranda takes over poolside. It suits couples after privacy, not families wanting room to spread out.
