THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
South Bank
At South Bank's private marina on Providenciales' south shore, a boat concierge is already plotting the day's route past kaleidoscopic reefs, while guests who arrive by their own yacht simply step off the dock and into the resort. This is Grace Bay Resorts' newest property, developed by Windward on Long Bay Beach, fifteen minutes from PLS airport, and it is built around water in a way none of its sister resorts are: a marina and boatyard where bringing a private vessel is not an add-on but the arrival itself. The forty-five accommodations range from studios to a four-bedroom lagoon villa, architecturally designed coastal residences with ocean or lagoon views, so a couple wanting a suite and a family needing three or four bedrooms are both served, though there are no elevators, meaning upper units mean stairs. Days settle into serenity pools and azure lagoons, tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness room, and a spa that asks for reservations ahead of arrival. Evenings move between a sunset supper served in-suite, the Clubhouse, and Caribbean barbecues beside the lagoon. The resort sits eight kilometers from the city center, a car is recommended for anything beyond the grounds, and construction on a neighboring building means occasional noise, worth knowing if quiet is the priority. Pets, including service animals, are not permitted. What South Bank has that the rest of Providenciales does not is that marina: the ability to sail in, moor, and let the resort begin at the boat. For anyone who measures a place by how close it gets them to open water, that is the whole argument. South Bank pairs a private marina where guests can dock their own yacht with lagoon and ocean-view villas, a boat concierge, and Caribbean barbecues beside the lagoon. It suits water-focused travelers and multi-bedroom groups, less so anyone wanting elevators or guaranteed quiet, given nearby construction.
