The 162 rooms run smaller than the address might suggest, starting at 25 square metres for a Standard King, though the Corner Junior King Studio climbs to 46 square metres with its own balcony over the city. A nightclub and an entertainment programme sit next to a Green Key sustainability certification, an odd pairing that says this is a hotel built for a specific, design-literate, mostly childless crowd rather than a quiet family stay. Pets are welcome for 80 euros a stay, bikes can be rented on-site, and the 24-hour, multi-language, LGBTQ+-friendly desk runs contactless check-in alongside a spa, gym and conference hall for anyone mixing business with the trip. None of it is cheap once you look past the room rate: breakfast runs 42 euros a person, parking is 45 euros a day, and a 150-euro deposit is taken at check-in. It suits someone who wants a modern, design-forward base between Bastille and Marais and doesn't mind paying for extras. It does not suit anyone hoping for Haussmannian proportions or a bargain rate. The view earned by sixteen floors of height is the argument, and it's one the neighborhood can't counter.
