What sets this address apart from the boutique hotels crowding the same few blocks is structural, not decorative: its communal areas, including the breakfast room and reception, incorporate surviving sections of the Alcázar's own 12th-century walls, and the Suite and Deluxe rooms on the first floor open onto private terraces that look straight into the Royal Alcázar gardens rather than a street or a courtyard.
