Forty-five minutes from Nice and thirty-five from Cannes, Terre Blanche occupies 300 hectares of Var countryside in the Pays de Fayence, a stretch of rolling hills, vineyards and perched villages that most visitors to the Côte d'Azur drive past without stopping. The resort is designed as a Provençal village in its own right, 115 suites and villas dispersed across the estate, each with a private terrace and a view of the valley or the hills, the larger villas with private heated pools and fireplaces, all furnished in natural stone, local wood and terracotta in the unhurried palette of the region. You move between them by golf cart, which establishes the pace of the place immediately.
The two 18-hole golf courses, Le Château and Le Riou, are consistently ranked among the top three in continental Europe, and the David Leadbetter Golf Academy on site means the resort works as well for someone who wants to improve their game as for someone who just wants to play it. The 3,200 square metre spa, housed in a Provençal bastide, is among the better ones in southern France, with a 20-metre indoor pool, fourteen treatment rooms, hammam, sauna, vitality pool and a snow shower, using KOS Paris and Valmont treatments.
