Rodos Park Suites & Spa Hotel
On the roof of Rodos Park, in the Galaxy Roof Lounge Bar, the Medieval City and the Palace of the Grand Master glow below while a full moon does the rest of the work, the kind of evening that makes staying in the better plan. The hotel itself is a low three-floor building of 72 rooms dating to 1962, close enough to the Medieval City to reach the Palace, the Archaeological Museum and Rimini Square on foot. Book the Superior Double and the room frames a section of the old Hellenistic city walls, a detail few hotels in the old town can claim from inside their own rooms. As a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Rodos Park runs on curated, small-scale service rather than resort volume, with an indoor and outdoor pool, a sauna, steam room and massage, a gym, a poolside bar, restaurant, cafe and bar, plus a garden and terrace for guests who would rather sit than swim. Family rooms, babysitting and highchairs suit those travelling with children, though rooms run compact, from 237 to 301 square feet, so anyone wanting sprawling suites should look elsewhere, and pets are not permitted. Airport transfers can be arranged for 80 euros return, and staff cover English, German, French and Turkish. This suits couples marking an anniversary, solo travellers with a guidebook, anyone content to walk into the old town rather than be driven there; it is not the hotel for a big group holiday or beach-club energy. What stays with you is the roofline view of a medieval fortress under a full moon, in a hotel that has stood there since 1962. A 1962 building of 72 rooms within walking distance of the Palace of the Grand Master, with a Superior Double that opens onto the old Hellenistic walls. Small Luxury Hotels of the World membership keeps things scaled to couples and solo travellers over resort crowds.

Surrounded by lush parks and flower gardens, the outdoor pool area forms a tranquil, renaissance-like retreat just steps from the Medieval City walls. Guests can swim by day and unwind poolside amid greenery that gives the courtyard the feel of a hidden oasis in the heart of Rhodes town, a contrast the hotel highlights as part of its character.
Bike rental is offered on site.
