THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Hotel Jackson
On Jackson's Town Square, the rooftop restaurant at Hotel Jackson opens onto Snow King Mountain and the Gros Ventre range before the cocktail list even arrives, and that view alone sets apart a hotel built in 2015 that already behaves like it has been on the square for decades. In a sense it has: the Darwiche family has run local businesses here since 1977, and their fifty-five room hotel now holds seven consecutive years of the Forbes Four Star award, Four Diamond status, and Virtuoso membership, credentials rare for a property this size. Each room keeps a working fireplace, a pillowtop bed under a down comforter, and blackout blinds against the long summer light, which matters more in Jackson than almost anywhere, since a 9pm sun keeps casual travelers awake past dinner. FIGS serves Lebanese-inspired Mediterranean food downstairs, recognized with Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, while a complimentary Mercedes shuttle runs guests to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and on-site ski storage saves hauling gear back each night. The Sacajawea library, stocked with western literature and art curated around the region's history, gives non-skiers a reason to stay by the fire instead of driving out to Grand Teton for the day. A rooftop hot tub runs from nine in the morning until eight at night, and the fitness center carries Technogym equipment for anyone unwilling to lose a routine on vacation. None of this suits a family chasing a bargain spring break week, since the resort fee and the per-person breakfast charge add up fast, and pets cannot come along. It suits someone who wants downtown Jackson without giving up the fireplace, the shuttle, or that rooftop view. Fifty-five rooms in downtown Jackson each keep a working fireplace, sitting above a Mediterranean restaurant and a rooftop bar facing Snow King Mountain. A free ski shuttle and seven straight years of the Forbes Four Star award mark it out from other hotels on the square.

Hotel Jackson's spa spans 7,000 square feet, including private treatment rooms, a fitness studio and a rooftop whirlpool open from 9am to 8pm with views of the surrounding mountains and town below. Reservations are arranged through the front desk, offering a quiet way to unwind after a day in the Tetons.
