THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Caldera House Jackson Hole
Eight suites, five floors, a tram to the slopes within walking distance: Caldera House Jackson Hole is built around scarcity rather than scale. In Teton Village, close to Bridger Gondola, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Sweetwater Gondola, the hotel trades a large lobby for ski-in/ski-out access and a private Members Lounge, the mid-century haunt of the hotel's Alpine Club, where a continental breakfast is laid out each morning and the restaurant kitchen sends up food later in the day. That lounge, open only to guests, is a detail competitors on the same strip can't replicate. Rooms come with balconies or terraces and a coffee maker as standard, useful after early starts for skiing or hiking. The spa area holds a sauna and steam room alongside a fitness center, better suited to a quiet soak after a day on the mountain than to families needing organised entertainment. Wheelchair access extends across the public areas, and the Yellowstone Suite is ADA compliant, worth knowing if accessibility is non-negotiable. Pets are welcome for a fee, with a refundable deposit required, and extra beds run 75 dollars a night depending on room category. An airport transfer can be arranged for 87 dollars one way, useful given Teton Village's distance from the airport. With only eight suites, this is not a hotel for guests who want anonymity in a crowd, nor for those chasing budget rates. It suits skiers and hikers who want direct mountain access and don't mind paying for a small, staffed property. What lingers is the lounge at day's end, firelit, quiet, and entirely the hotel's own. Eight suites across five floors in Teton Village, steps from the tram, with ski-in/ski-out access and a guests-only Alpine Club lounge serving breakfast each morning. Better suited to skiers wanting direct mountain access than anyone seeking anonymity or budget rates.
