Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta

Located in Ervedosa do Douro, in the heart of the Upper Douro Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The property is an expansive 400-hectare estate, with over 200 hectares of terraced vineyards, and is perched high above the Douro River.

A 4-star boutique wine hotel. It is a former 18th-century working farm (Quinta) that has been carefully transformed and restored. The design balances rustic roots with contemporary, minimalist comfort, respecting the original structures and local materials.

There are 29 rooms and houses spread across seven different rehabilitated former farm buildings. Rooms are soundproofed and feature air conditioning, king or queen-size beds, a minibar, and a safe. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, bathrobes, and complimentary toiletries.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Services include a 24-hour front desk, room service, currency exchange, and luggage storage. On-site parking is free. Guests can use bicycle rentals to explore.

The Cantina de Ventozelo restaurant serves à la carte breakfast daily and focuses on traditional Portuguese cuisine using ingredients sourced from the farm and local producers. There is also a bar, a poolside snack bar, and a grocery store (Mercearia). Special diet and children’s meals are available upon request.

The complex features a seasonal outdoor infinity pool with sun loungers and a pool bar offering spectacular views over the Douro Valley. Activities include hiking/walking trails on the estate, bike tours, wine tasting, and a Visitor Center to learn about the region and the farm's history.

Wheelchair accessible facilities are available, including specific rooms for guests with reduced mobility.
