What makes Tschuggen Grand hotel different are the spa wings that extend from the mountainside in geometric glass panels. The architecture is striking but not the only reason to come. The hotel combines contemporary design with proper Swiss mountain service. Rooms are decorated with warm wood and floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Weisshorn peaks. Suites on higher floors have bathtubs positioned for the view. The spa itself is built into the mountain, with an indoor-outdoor pool connected by a light-filled tunnel and treatment rooms that feel spacious and calm. Arosa is quieter than St. Moritz or Zermatt. The village draws Swiss families and skiers focused on the snow conditions. Summer brings extensive hiking trails, from easy lake walks to serious alpine routes.
