What to Know Before You Go
Shoulder Season
Andermatt in early December before the main season, or late March when the spring snow is still good and the resort is emptier, is a different experience from peak January.
Take the Train
The Glacier Express route through Andermatt is one of the great train journeys in Europe. If you're combining this with another Swiss destination, building in the train leg makes the journey part of the trip rather than a logistics problem to solve.
What to Pack
