THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Bisha Hotel Toronto
Step off the elevator onto the eighth floor and the corridor turns into a mood board: lacquered wood, crushed velvet, geometric carpet pulled from a 1970s fever dream, the entire level styled by Lenny Kravitz. Bisha Hotel Toronto sits on Blue Jays Way in the Entertainment District, close enough to walk to Princess of Wales Theatre, Royal Alexandra Theatre, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the CN Tower and Rogers Centre, with Lake Ontario visible from the upper floors. It's a small hotel by downtown Toronto standards, 78 rooms across eight floors, which means the lobby lounge and the rooftop stay usable rather than crowded. The infinity pool on the 44th floor, open seasonally and only until 5pm, looks out over the skyline; the gym one floor above street level runs around the clock with steam rooms attached. Akira Back, the chef's first restaurant under his own name in Canada, pairs Japanese technique with Korean flavor in a black-and-gold room, while French Made handles the daytime pastry and sandwich run and Mister C anchors the lobby for a drink before or after. Dogs are welcome, one per room, and the front desk has handled enough of them to not make a show of it. None of this suits a traveler chasing quiet: the location trades calm for proximity, and the design leans loud rather than restrained. But for someone who wants to walk out the door into a Wednesday night in the Entertainment District and back into a room that still looks considered at 2am, the Kravitz floor is the one thing here that no comparable Toronto address can currently claim. A boutique 78-room hotel in Toronto's Entertainment District, built around a Lenny Kravitz-designed floor, a 44th-floor infinity pool and Akira Back's first Canadian restaurant. Walkable to the CN Tower, Rogers Centre and the theatre district, it rewards travelers who want nightlife at the door, not those seeking quiet.
