THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Loden Hotel
The turndown card goes up most evenings between five and seven, the in-room Nespresso machine gets its nightly reset, and the indoor fireplace takes over from whatever the day in Coal Harbour was supposed to accomplish. Loden Hotel is a 77-room boutique property built in 2008, fourteen floors set about three kilometres from downtown Vancouver's centre, close enough to walk to Christ Church Cathedral or the Vancouver Art Gallery without calling the valet. The one credential few hotels in the city can match is the MICHELIN Key, awarded in both 2024 and 2025; the Loden has also been Vancouver's top-ranked hotel by TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice since 2020, and ranks among the top 1% of hotels worldwide. Rooms carry bathrobes, slippers, minibars and blackout blinds, and the Standard King adds hypoallergenic bedding and soundproofing, useful on the allergy-friendly floor set aside for guests who need it. Tableau Bar Bistro, the French restaurant off the lobby, runs breakfast through in-room dining, and the Spa Suite next to the sauna covers the slower afternoons. A VIP lounge and a marble-table boardroom with floor-to-ceiling views serve the business crowd, while a fee-based pet policy, an extra-bed rate of 45 CAD a night, and a count of more than 4,000 pets hosted cover families and travellers with pets. It does not suit anyone chasing a big-resort buzz: the property calls itself quiet, and it backs that up with one restaurant, one bar, and a lounge built for focus rather than crowds. Check-in runs from 3pm, check-out by noon, and a 100 CAD daily deposit covers any damage. Book here for the Michelin nod and the pet-friendly quiet, not for a sprawling lobby scene. Loden Hotel is a 77-room boutique property in Vancouver's Coal Harbour, MICHELIN Key winner in 2024 and 2025 and Vancouver's top-ranked hotel by TripAdvisor since 2020. Expect an allergy-friendly floor, a genuinely pet-friendly policy, and one French restaurant rather than a sprawling lobby scene.

Each evening between 5pm and 7pm, the Loden's housekeeping team performs a signature turndown service, refreshing the room and preparing the bed for the night. Paired with plush bedding and a pillow menu, it is one of the personal touches the hotel highlights as central to the guest experience.
Tableau Bar Bistro serves French-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-room dining.
Pets are welcomed as part of the hotel's pet-friendly program.
A Spa Suite offers massage treatments and an infrared sauna.
Valet parking is available in a gated, underground parking garage.
Complimentary cruiser bikes, including bottled water, map and helmet, are provided for exploring the neighbourhood.
