THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Four Seasons Resort Whistler
Whistler Blackcomb's lifts are close enough to reach on foot from the lobby, and the resort backs that up with its own ski storage, ski rental, and both on-site and off-site skiing access. Built in 2000 and spread across eight floors with 273 rooms, this is not an intimate lodge; it runs more like a small village, with a library, a barbecue terrace, table tennis, and both indoor and outdoor pools alongside a spa with a full sauna and steam room. What sets it apart from the valley's other ski hotels is that it doesn't shut down in summer: a golf course, tennis courts, and hiking trails keep the property running through the warmer months, so guests aren't paying peak-season rates for a building that's half-asleep the rest of the year. Rooms lean toward comfort rather than minimalism, with bathrobes, slippers, minibars, and an indoor fireplace among the standard amenities, useful after a day on the mountain. Families get a playroom and babysitting on request, and pet owners can bring dogs along, a rarity at this altitude. It suits travelers who want walk-to-lift convenience without sacrificing spa time or restaurant options, and who don't mind a large, full-service operation over a boutique one. It's less suited to anyone hoping for a quiet, six-room retreat or wanting to avoid a resort with an events calendar and conference space running alongside the ski lifts. A deposit of 200 CAD per room per stay applies, and parking runs 48 CAD a day. What lingers isn't the size of the place but the fact that it works in July as well as January. Four Seasons Resort Whistler sits close enough to Whistler Blackcomb's lifts to walk in ski boots, and keeps running through summer with its own golf course and tennis courts. It's a full-service, 273-room operation with pools, spa, and pet-friendly policies, not a boutique hideaway.

Open all year, the resort's free-form outdoor pool and three whirlpools offer panoramic views of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain. Guests can soak in heated water surrounded by snow in winter or alpine greenery in summer, making it a favourite spot to unwind after skiing or hiking on the surrounding slopes.
Airport transfer service can be arranged for guests.
Pets are welcome at the resort.
On-site parking is available for a daily fee.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
