Four kilometres out from Whistler's village core, Nita Lake Lodge sits directly on its namesake lake, the only resort and spa in town that can make that claim. The spa wing backs it up, with rooftop hot tubs looking over the water, a barrel sauna, a eucalyptus steam room, and a treatment menu voted Whistler's Best Massage and Esthetics, the kind of record that helped the property earn a Michelin Key in 2024. From Thursday to Monday, Wellness Ambassadors lead breathwork and meditation at 6:30am, morning yoga, and guided forest bathing along the shore, alongside a standard gym and fitness room. The 77 rooms and suites, spread across four floors, range from a 350 square foot Two Bedroom Nita Suite to an 830 square foot One Bedroom Nita Suite, most built around king beds and several facing the lake, and all keep an indoor fireplace, bathrobes and a DVD player rather than chasing a stripped-back look. Skiers get on-site ski storage and passes, anglers get lake fishing, and anyone without a car can use the free bicycle rental or the hotel's own electric shuttle, the first one any Whistler hotel has run, on top of standard airport transfers. A conference hall and meeting rooms cover work groups, and pets can come along for a flat 35 CAD fee. None of this suits a guest who wants to step out of a gondola straight into village bars; the lake setting is the point, and it means a short drive or that shuttle to reach the lifts. For a quieter, water-facing base built around a genuine spa, it offers something the hotels lining the main street simply don't have. Nita Lake Lodge is Whistler's only lakeside resort and spa, four kilometres from the village, with rooftop hot tubs and a 2024 Michelin Key. It suits a quieter, spa-led stay over village nightlife; pets, bikes and a hotel shuttle come standard, a car doesn't.
