THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Lost Lindenberg
Lost Lindenberg sits above a stretch of black lava sand on Bali's west coast, its eight rooms and walkways raised ten metres into the palm jungle canopy of Pekutatan. This is the fifth project from the Lindenberg hospitality group and its first in Indonesia, built as a treetop structure rather than a conventional block, which means there is no elevator and the climb to a room comes with a view instead of a lobby. Days start with coffee on the outdoor furniture, drift toward the pool or the beach, and end at the bar with something poured after a diving trip or a spa treatment. The restaurant handles breakfast and dinner, meal details spelled out at booking, and service runs through concierge, laundry, and luggage storage rather than a full front desk operation. Couples booking a double room need a marriage certificate at check in, a rule enforced without exception, and travellers requiring step free access should look elsewhere given the height of the walkways and rooms. This suits someone who wants Bali without the villa compound sprawl, who reads eight rooms as a feature rather than a limitation and doesn't mind a smoke free, security guarded property that leans intimate over indulgent. It does not suit anyone wanting elevators, sprawling grounds, or a hotel that photographs like every other jungle retreat, since the ten metre walkways through the canopy are not something the neighbouring properties can claim. What stays with you afterward isn't the pool or the spa, it's the sound of the ocean from up in the trees, at a hotel with eight doors and one very specific idea of what a room should feel like. Eight rooms raised ten metres into West Bali's palm jungle, above a black lava sand beach, from the Lindenberg group's first Indonesian project. Suits those who want intimacy over amenities; skip it if step-free access matters.

THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT

Your taste already has an address

Outdoor furniture and garden spaces are arranged around the property's treetop setting, giving guests informal spots to sit out among the palms between the beach and the jungle interior. The relaxed, low-key styling matches the hotel's offbeat, lofi-luxury character rather than a conventional resort layout.
