THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane
A tenth-floor spa with nine treatment rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and private relaxation pods sits above a quiet Mayfair street that most guests would never guess is a few minutes from Hyde Park Corner and Buckingham Palace. This is the detail few competitors on Park Lane can match, and it shapes how the whole hotel feels: contained, unhurried, oriented toward recovery rather than spectacle. Pierre-Yves Rochon's interiors keep to classic British lines rendered in a contemporary register, and the 193 rooms and suites, some with fireplaces and private terraces, favour comfort over flourish, with minibars, bathrobes and slippers standard throughout. The concierge team is skilled rather than showy, useful for theatre tickets or a table at short notice, and the restaurant and bar handle vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and diet-menu requests without fuss. A gym, fitness facilities and a glass-walled rooftop setting support the spa rather than compete with it. Staff speak eleven languages, from Arabic to Japanese, which matters more here than in most London hotels given the international clientele on this stretch of Mayfair. Someone chasing a lively lobby scene or a bargain will find the tariffs and the hush unwelcome; airport transfers, parking and extra beds all carry real costs, and children under sixteen need supervision in the spa. But for a traveller who wants Bond Street, Green Park and the West End within walking distance and a room to retreat to afterward, the calculation is straightforward. Four Seasons Park Lane doesn't try to be everything in London. It tries to be quiet at the right moments, and it succeeds. Four Seasons Park Lane pairs a Mayfair address near Hyde Park with a tenth-floor spa sanctuary few rivals can offer. Best suited to travellers who want quiet recovery alongside central London access, not those hunting a lively lobby scene.

The Presidential Suite is arranged for entertaining, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace and a dining setup for six guests. It is one of the few rooms in the hotel built around hosting rather than simply sleeping, giving long-staying or celebrating guests a residence-style base above Park Lane.
