Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North
Walk out of a Premier King Casita at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North and the trailhead into Pinnacle Peak Park sits closer than the coffee in the lobby. Twenty-seven kilometres north of central Scottsdale, this Four Seasons resort spreads 188 rooms across just two low-rise floors, closer to casitas than a tower. The setting does the talking: the Pinnacle Course at Troon North runs along one edge, Desert Highlands sits within reach, and horse riding and hiking are on offer for anyone who wants the desert rather than the pool deck. That said, the pool deck is there too, with an outdoor pool, a spa tub, and a separate children's pool, plus a kids club and playroom for families who want the adults' evening back. The spa runs to massage, sauna, and steam room, and the fitness side covers a gym, yoga, and tennis courts. Three restaurants and a bar cover most moods, room service runs around the clock, and breakfast is served from seven to eleven for a fee. Rooms carry minibars, DVD players, premium bedding, and private patios, with the Premier King Casita adding down bedding and thick terry bathrobes. This suits a woman who wants golf or a genuine trail before breakfast, not one who wants to walk to dinner downtown or avoid a resort built around weddings and conferences, since both run through the property. Self-parking costs thirty-eight dollars a day, so a rental car is less an option than an assumption. Two floors, one trailhead at the door: not much else in Scottsdale offers that combination.\n\nA low-rise, two-floor Four Seasons at the edge of Pinnacle Peak Park, twenty-seven kilometres from central Scottsdale, built around golf at Troon North, a full spa, and casita-style rooms. Suits desert hikers and golfers more than downtown diners. Self-parking runs thirty-eight dollars a day.
Self-parking is available on site, subject to a daily charge
