THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik
Built directly into a cliff on Miramare Bay in 1947, Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik sits thirty metres above the Adriatic, with a pebble beach at the foot of the rock and Dubrovnik's Old Town a fifteen-minute walk along the coast. The 91 rooms, spread across five floors, are individually designed rather than uniform, each with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a safe, and an en-suite bathroom stocked with a bathrobe and slippers; take a sea-view balcony and the water is the first thing you see each morning. Where the hotel earns its keep is the cliff itself: a small gym looks out onto the indoor pool, a spa centre with sauna looks out over the water, and a path leads down to the pebble beach below, a feature its sister hotels in the Adriatic Luxury Hotels collection, set along Lapad and in Cavtat, don't have. This suits someone who wants the Old Town within reach but not underfoot, who would rather swim off the rocks before breakfast than head to Bellevue or Boninovo Beach down the coast. It suits less well anyone who wants to be based inside the Old Town itself, or who's travelling with a dog, since pets aren't permitted here. A restaurant, bar, and cafe cover meals on site, and the concierge desk arranges transfers, car rental, and tours. Check-in runs from 2pm, check-out by noon, and an extra bed costs 100 euros a night if needed. What lingers afterward is the walk back from the Old Town, uphill, to a hotel built into the cliff it stands on, with its own drop straight into the sea. Built into a cliff above the Adriatic in 1947, Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik has its own pebble beach below and the Old Town fifteen minutes along the coast. Its 91 rooms are individually designed, and pets aren't allowed. It suits swimmers more than city-centre purists.

Overlooking the sea, The Wine Bar pours a curated cellar of more than one hundred eighty labels, drawing on Croatia's under-explored wine regions alongside international bottles. Paired with the redesigned seafront Spice Lounge, it has become the hotel's social hub for an evening cocktail or an after-dinner glass.
Babysitting and childcare services are available for younger guests.
The property offers wheelchair-accessible rooms and access to the restaurant.
