THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Sina The Gray Hotel
Sina The Gray sits right in front of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and the Duomo is a short walk beyond it, close enough to reach on foot rather than by taxi. Behind the Art Nouveau façade on Via San Raffaele, the 21 rooms and suites are spread across four floors and were designed with African fabrics and ethnic touches set against modern lines and floating beds; a handful even include a private gym or Turkish bath, a detail few hotels this size bother with. Junior Suites run to 408 square feet with soundproofing and hypoallergenic bedding, while the standard rooms are compact at 193 square feet, better suited to a couple travelling light than a family spreading out. Le Noir restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes under a deliberate play of light and shadow, the G Bar draws an after-shopping crowd, and the Aria terrace stays intimate rather than crowded. Staff work across six languages, which matters given how much international traffic passes through, with La Scala three minutes away and the Fashion District 700 meters beyond it. There is a spa on site, a doctor on call, and pets are allowed for a nightly fee. Parking, airport transfer, and breakfast all cost extra, which fits a hotel that spends its money on design rather than inclusions. Someone who wants to step out the door straight into Milan's centre and treat the room as a base will do well here; anyone hoping for a pool, a garden, or real quiet should look elsewhere. What The Gray has that its neighbours mostly do not is that arcade view, and the walk to the Duomo it makes possible. Sina The Gray sits in front of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a short walk from the Duomo, its 21 rooms behind an Art Nouveau façade mixing African fabrics with modern design, some with a private gym or Turkish bath. Parking and breakfast cost extra.

The Gallery View Deluxe rooms at Sina The Gray overlook the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, giving guests a privileged perspective over Milan's centre. Roughly 32 square metres, they combine contemporary design with subtle ethnic accents in a refined aesthetic, offering a distinctive vantage point over the iconic shopping arcade that few Milan hotel rooms can match.
