THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
The St. Regis Mexico City Hotel
Thirty-one floors rise above Colonia Sevilla, four kilometers from central Mexico City, close enough to walk to the Angel of Independence Monument and the Museum of Modern Art but far enough to leave the traffic behind. The St. Regis Mexico City Hotel opened in 2009 with 189 rooms, and the scale shows in an indoor pool with a spa tub, a full spa with sauna and steam room, and a gym built for people who keep training on the road. What sets it apart from the other luxury addresses nearby is the St. Regis Butler Service, the tradition the brand carries into every property, on hand for requests that usually get lost between the front desk and the room, from pressing a dress before a dinner meeting to arranging the airport transfer that runs 100 US dollars each way. Rooms carry bathrobes, slippers and mini-bars as standard; the Deluxe categories add blackout blinds and hypoallergenic bedding, and suites range from 646 to 1,647 square feet, the Metropolitan King Suite coming with its own terrace and jacuzzi. Business travellers get a conference hall and meeting rooms without leaving the building, families get a playroom, and, unusually for a hotel this polished, pets are welcome for a fee. This suits a woman travelling alone for work who wants a proper gym and a quiet room, or a couple who want the city close but not underfoot. It will not suit anyone chasing a boutique, low-key feel; this is a tower hotel with a tower hotel's formality, thirty-one floors of it. What lingers is less the marble than the sense that someone remembered the details before you asked. A 31-floor St. Regis tower four kilometers from central Mexico City, built in 2009 with 189 rooms, an indoor pool, full spa and the brand's signature Butler Service. It suits travellers who want scale and formality over boutique intimacy, and welcomes pets for a fee.

An indoor relaxation swimming pool anchors the hotel's wellness offering, set alongside a fitness center equipped with cardio machines, free weights and a Pilates reformer. It gives guests a sheltered place to swim or unwind after meetings on Paseo de la Reforma, away from the city's altitude and shifting weather.
An on-site spa offers massage treatments, a sauna and a steam room.
An indoor swimming pool and pool facilities are available to guests.
A fitness center and gym are available on site.
Babysitting and childcare services can be arranged for younger guests.
Airport transfer can be arranged for an additional fee.
Pets are welcome at the hotel for an additional charge.
