The Whitby attracts a stylish crowd, so lean into that. Color and pattern are encouraged here in a way they're not at more traditional hotels. Good tailoring, interesting accessories, shoes that show you put thought in. It's polished but not stuffy.

The Best Table

We love a window table at the Orangery for breakfast. The light is really nice and you get prime people-watching on 56th Street. Request it when you make your reservation, not the morning of.

Museum Timing

MoMA is walkable from the hotel, but go Wednesday mornings right at 10:30am opening instead of weekends. The galleries stay relatively empty until lunch, and you'll actually be able to see the permanent collection properly.
