Guests can use the indoor pool, sauna, and steam room, book a massage or facial, or work out in the 24-hour fitness center. Brasserie 1806 serves local dishes, The Duchy leans French and regional, and the bar operates as a proper lounge rather than an afterthought; breakfast runs buffet-style each morning. There's a business center and event space for meetings, babysitting and a playroom for families travelling with children, and pets under five kilos are welcome for a surcharge. None of this comes without a price attached: parking costs 39 euros a day, a 200-euro-per-day deposit is taken by bank transfer on arrival, and an extra bed adds 90 euros a night. This suits a guest who wants staff who already know her habits and can get her into a table that's supposedly booked solid, not one counting every euro on extras.
