The 26 rooms, spread across two floors, run from a 129 sq ft Standard up to a 377 sq ft Suite, each with a box-spring bed, Rituals bathroom products, and a glass of port waiting on arrival. Wi-Fi, a safe, and a private bathroom with shower are standard throughout; the Suite adds a mirror in place of some of the smaller rooms' extras. Downstairs there's a small fitness center, laundry and dry-cleaning service, a concierge desk, and staff who work comfortably in English and German. Pets travel for a 10 EUR daily fee, extra beds run 20 EUR a night, and early arrivals or late departures can be arranged for 50 EUR. The city center is a 15-minute S-Bahn ride from Othmarschen or Klein Flottbek, or, in warmer months, a ride into the harbor by Elbe barge. This suits a woman who wants a proper armchair by a fire rather than a hotel that photographs well but says nothing; it's less suited to anyone wanting a high-rise view or a big-brand check-in routine.
