The retreat has just fifteen rooms across a single floor, each with its own portico and garden, and in the Deluxe and Prestige Pool Suites that garden holds a private pool, the detail that turns a comfortable room into something closer to a retreat within the retreat. Meals come from what the estate produces: chef Salvatore Camedda's Ulìa restaurant works with honey, vegetables, aromatic herbs, fruit, wheat and olive oil grown on the property, and breakfast is available each morning. The Spa Mediterranea, with its steam room, and the fitness area, library, picnic spots and sun deck give the days a slow shape rather than an obligation to fill them. Electric car charging, free Wi-Fi, a smoke-free terrace and garden, contactless check-in from 3pm and check-out by 11am, and a complimentary transfer to the beach round out the practical side; a conference hall covers small meetings and events. This suits couples and solo travellers drawn to quiet over spectacle, and anyone happy to trade a city center for olive groves and a lagoon view.
