THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills by Hyatt
Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills by Hyatt sits inside the Toranomon business district, close enough to Ginza's shopping streets and the Marunouchi financial quarter that a morning meeting and an afternoon at Tokyo Imperial Palace fit into the same day without a taxi receipt. Built in 2014 and kept to six floors and 164 rooms, it reads more like a considered address than a hotel block; upper-floor rooms are deliberately spacious and light-filled, with views that most competitors in this business pocket can't match from six stories up. What separates it from the glass towers nearby is the indoor heated pool paired with a spa tub, sauna and steam room, a combination rarely found in a hotel this size and useful after a day of walking to Toranomon Hills or Tokyo Tower. There's even a chapel on site, an unusual inclusion for a business hotel and a hint that weddings happen here as often as conferences. Staff speak English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, which matters in a city where language gaps can slow things down. A traveller wanting anonymity in a sprawling resort, or budget flexibility, should look elsewhere: a 30,000 JPY daily deposit is required at check-in, and rooms run from a workable 538 square feet up to a 1,345 square foot suite with bay views. This suits the business traveller who wants a serious address with a proper spa attached, and the couple treating a Tokyo trip as more than a stopover. It does not suit anyone travelling with pets, or with children under four hoping to use the pool. In Toranomon's business core, six floors and 164 rooms built in 2014, with an indoor heated pool, spa tub, sauna and steam room rare for a hotel this size. Not for pool-going toddlers or pet owners.

A fitness center and gym are available on site, letting guests keep up a workout routine while staying in the Toranomon business district. It sits alongside the hotel's pool and spa facilities, rounding out a wellness offering aimed at travelers who want to stay active during business trips or leisure stays.
