THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo
The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo checks guests in at three in the afternoon, twelve floors of the hotel wrapped around Tokyo Midtown, footsteps from Roppongi and the National Art Center Tokyo, three kilometers out from the city center. What sets the address apart shows up in the room specs before anything else: the entry-level Deluxe Room runs 560 square feet, the Superior Suite 840, the Executive King Suite 861, numbers that give guests space to spread out rather than negotiate around a bed. Evenings can go two ways, a seat at the bar followed by French plates at Héritage by Kei Kobayashi, one of three restaurants inside, or a quieter stretch between the indoor and outdoor pools, the sauna, and the steam room before the spa closes. Built in 2007 and holding 248 rooms across those twelve floors, the hotel still runs a business center, conference hall, and event facilities that keep corporate groups and wedding parties, the on-site chapel gets used, moving through the same lobby as leisure guests. Concierge, tour assistance, and staff fluent in English, Japanese, and Chinese make the logistics disappear for international travelers. None of this comes cheap: an extra breakfast runs 8,000 yen per person, an extra bed 25,056 yen a night, and the deposit alone is 20,000 yen per guest per night, so this isn't the room for anyone counting every line item. Pets aren't allowed, which rules out travelers who don't go anywhere without one. What lingers isn't the marble or the view, it's a hotel that gives Tokyo guests room to actually unpack, in a city that rarely offers it. The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo pairs unusually large rooms, 560 to 861 square feet, with three restaurants including Héritage by Kei Kobayashi, near Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi. It suits business travelers and wedding parties more than budget watchers or pet owners.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Tokyo occupies a floor dedicated to health and wellness within Midtown Tower, offering a tranquil sanctuary for pampering and restorative treatments. Positioned high above Roppongi alongside the hotel's guest floors, it rounds out a stay that also includes Club Level access and skyline dining venues.
