THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Rosewood Bangkok
Rosewood Bangkok opened in 2019 as a 30-storey tower holding just 158 rooms, a scale that feels closer to a private residence than a convention hotel, a short walk from CentralWorld Shopping Complex, Erawan Shrine and the Sala Daeng streets. It is tagged a design hotel rather than a heritage pile, and the interiors lean restrained, aimed at a guest who has already seen the marble-lobby version of Bangkok luxury and wants something quieter. What sets it apart from most hotels in this bracket is that it runs both an indoor and an outdoor pool, so swimming does not depend on the weather or the hour. Lakorn serves modern European food, two more restaurants round out the choices, and room service runs around the clock. Gluten-free and vegetarian menus are handled as standard. The Sense Spa, a sauna, a steam room and an on-call doctor make up the wellness floor, more useful after a long flight than for an afternoon of pampering. Rooms run from 452 to 592 square feet, fitted with blackout blinds, soundproofing and a proper desk, better suited to someone who still works on a trip than someone chasing a view. Some categories sleep up to seven, useful for a family split across generations, and pets travel for a daily fee. Meeting space runs to 320 square metres across four rooms, enough for an actual offsite. It sits six kilometres from the city centre, so getting around means relying on taxis rather than walking, and anyone wanting ten-room intimacy should look elsewhere. For a stopover worth doing properly, this is the one to book. Rosewood Bangkok pairs a 30-storey, 158-room tower with both an indoor and an outdoor pool, a rare combination for hotels of its size in the city. Near CentralWorld and Erawan Shrine, it suits someone who wants restrained design and a proper desk over ten-room intimacy.

Between the Fitness Studio and the G&O restaurant sits a dramatic 20-metre saltwater lap pool that runs both indoors and outdoors, part of a 30-storey tower whose form was inspired by the wai, Thailand's traditional gesture of greeting. Natural light and skyline views define the surrounding wellness deck.
