THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Atlantis The Royal Dubai
Some rooms at Atlantis The Royal open straight onto their own pool, not a shared deck four floors down but water on a private terrace, forty-three storeys above Palm Jumeirah with the Arabian Sea on one side and the fronds of the island on the other. Built in 2019 and run to 795 rooms, the property carries 16 restaurants, seven of them from chefs with their own name recognition and one holding a Michelin star, restaurants that alongside Atlantis, The Palm position the resort as the top culinary destination in Dubai. The hotel suits travellers who want a full day mapped out for them: private beach and pool facilities in the morning, a kids club or the Explorers Club's Little Explorers area for younger children, a Teens Lounge for teenagers, then restaurant reservations through the evening. It does not suit anyone chasing anonymity; the Atlantis name, and the scale that comes with it, is the whole proposition. Standard rooms carry air conditioning, a private bathroom, minibar and free Wi-Fi as a baseline, while villa categories add a private pool and room for a party of twenty. The spa runs to a sauna and steam room alongside massage and beauty treatments, and a gym and tennis court cover the more active hours. Check-in is from 3pm, check-out at noon, and the hotel sits 11 kilometres from central Dubai, close enough to Aquaventure and Nasimi Beach to reach on foot. What lingers afterwards is less the size of the building than the sixteen restaurants behind it, one of them carrying a Michelin star, in what the property positions as Dubai's top culinary address. Some suites here come with a private pool forty-three floors above Palm Jumeirah, alongside sixteen restaurants and a Michelin star. It suits travellers who want a full day planned for them, not anyone after a quiet, unbranded room.

Accommodations at Atlantis The Royal are fitted with air-conditioning, private bathrooms and modern amenities, with dedicated family rooms and interconnecting layouts designed to keep parents and children close together. It is a practical detail for travelling families who want separate sleeping space without sacrificing togetherness during a stay on the Palm.
