At Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, the view runs two ways: face the water for the Arabian Gulf and a private stretch of Jumeirah Beach, or face inland for a skyline that includes Burj Khalifa, about 5km off, with La Mer's shops and water parks just 2km away. The resort itself stays low, spread across six floors for 256 rooms, which leaves the pool, the private beach, and the garden room to breathe. What sets it apart is the sheer spread of places to eat and drink under one roof: Tasca by José Avillez, the bohemian-inspired Casa Amor, a Japanese-inspired Netsu Bar for cocktails, Beluga Restaurant and Lounge, the Mandarin Cake Shop, and in-room dining that fills whatever gap remains. Guests in Club Rooms or Suites get their own schedule, with breakfast and afternoon tea in the Club Lounge and evening cocktails there on weekends or at Tasca midweek. Families are looked after properly, with a kids club, a children's pool, a playground, and babysitting arranged on request, while the spa covers sauna, steam room, and massage for anyone travelling without them. A diving club and mini golf round things out, which is not something most beach resorts bother offering. It suits a couple who want a real beach base with a skyline backdrop rather than a downtown tower, and a family who wants the children occupied without ever leaving the grounds. It suits less anyone chasing walkable nightlife, since even La Mer takes a short drive. Two hundred fifty six rooms across six low floors: busy without ever stacking guests on top of each other. Located within the beachfront property on Jumeira Beach Road, it offers guests a relaxed, globally influenced dining option without leaving the hotel grounds.
Netsu Bar's Japanese-Inspired Cocktails
Netsu Bar is a Japanese-inspired cocktail bar at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, sitting alongside Netsu by Ross Shonhan among the resort's dining and drinks venues. It gives guests a dedicated space for crafted cocktails in a Japanese-influenced setting, distinct from the hotel's other lounges such as Noor Lounge and The Club Lounge.
