The 31-story tower holds 574 rooms across a run of categories, from Club King rooms to the Premier King Family Room, and a welcome minibar greets every arrival. What separates it from the other five-star names in Pudong is Kerry Sports, the city's largest hotel sports and recreation facility, where a pool, tennis court, yoga studio, and gym sit alongside a spa with sauna and steam room, so a stay here can run on a fitness schedule rather than a sightseeing one. The BREW, one of three in-house restaurants and bars, pours beer brewed on site, a detail few Shanghai hotels bother with. Business travellers get 7,300 square metres of meeting space, 26 rooms, two ballrooms, and a 24-hour business centre, which makes this better suited to SNIEC conference weeks and corporate stays than to a couple chasing old Shanghai's back streets.
