THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Du Lac et Du Parc, Grand Resort
Du Lac et Du Parc Grand Resort sits on the northern shore of Lake Garda in Riva del Garda, its 259 rooms spread across five floors and three distinct sections: the main hotel building, a separate suite building called the Villa, and a cluster of self-catering bungalows set inside a centuries-old seven-hectare park threaded with streams and small ponds. That range is the thing few properties on this lake attempt at once: hotel rooms in the main building, 22 suites in the quieter Villa, and one-to-four-bedroom bungalows with their own kitchens for families who want to cook their own breakfast and still walk to a spa. Three pools, one of them indoor and heated, sit alongside a sauna, steam room, solarium and massage rooms under the Armonia Spa name, while a fitness center, tennis court, table tennis, sailing and windsurfing cover the more active hours. A kids club, a playroom, a children's pool and babysitting make this workable for parents traveling with young children, and a conference hall with meeting rooms mean it also absorbs a corporate group without the two crowds colliding awkwardly. Couples chasing a boutique, adults-only quiet will find the family infrastructure at odds with that; this is built for groups who need different things under one roof at the same time. Staff speak English, Italian, German and French, pets travel for an extra fee, and the property holds GSTC sustainability certification. Breakfast, a buffet restaurant, a bar and a cafe round out the food side. What lands, in the end, is the park itself: seven hectares of established grounds on a lake shore, in a region where most hotels count their garden in square meters. Three room types, hotel, Villa suites and bungalows, sit inside a seven-hectare park on Lake Garda's northern shore, built as much for families and business groups as for couples. It suits those who want scale and infrastructure over quiet intimacy; adults seeking a small, hushed retreat should look elsewhere.

Located in the Murialdo Suite building, the Premier Suites face either the east or west side of the Grand Resort and each includes a private balcony or garden. The layout suits guests wanting extra space and outdoor access without leaving the main resort grounds.
The resort is fully accessible, offering various facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort also boasts a bicycle rental service, perfect for exploring the surrounding areas.
Enjoy the resort's air-conditioned and centrally heated rooms, each equipped with a king-size bed or sofa bed, a safe, a minibar, and a tea/coffee station. For your convenience, non-smoking rooms are available.
Indulge in the resort's wellness facilities which include a gym, yoga classes, a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, and a range of massage treatments. The resort also offers a fun-filled kids' club.
The resort houses three non-smoking restaurants, a café, and a bar. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a special diet meal, the resort has got you covered.
