Londra Palace opens directly onto the lagoon, just beyond the busiest stretch of St Mark’s. Boats move past all day, the light changes constantly, and Venice feels unexpectedly open from this side of the water. Despite the address, the atmosphere stays composed, especially early in the morning and after sunset. The hotel leans classic without feeling formal. Interiors are well kept and comfortable, shaped around proportion and ease rather than statement design. There is a sense of continuity here, as if the hotel has been doing this quietly well for a long time and sees no reason to change course. Rooms vary in size and outlook, but lagoon facing rooms are worth prioritising. Waking up to the water gives the stay its pace, and evenings feel calmer once the promenade thins out. Even rooms without direct views benefit from the hotel’s position, which keeps the city at arm’s length. The spa is there when you want it, most often used at the end of the day before heading out for dinner. It adds a small reset to the stay without ever becoming the focus. Dining is part of the rhythm rather than an event. The restaurant is best for an unhurried evening in, when you want to stay close to the water and let the setting carry the night. In accordance with the Institutional Regulations and the rules governing the fee for access, with or without a shuttle service, in Venice and the small islands of the Venetian Lagoon, an additional fee is charged to day-trippers who do not stay overnight and plan to visit the historic city centre from Friday to Sunday or on public holidays, from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM. The fee will be from EUR 5.00 to 10.00 per day, depending on the date of booking. After payment, tourists must have a confirmation. Exempt from this fee are children under 14; residents of Venice and the Veneto region; people working or studying in Venice. Guests staying overnight are also exempt from this fee and must pay the city tax at the accommodation facilities.
A cleaning tax is not included in the reservation price and is payable separately at the hotel.
