THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Banyan Tree Krabi
At Banyan Tree Krabi, each of the 72 suites and villas opens onto its own private pool, spread across two low floors of jungle-green hillside above Tub Keak Beach, with the Andaman Sea and the karst cliffs of Railay and Ao Phra Nang visible from the terraces. Built in 2017 under the Banyan Tree Hotel & Resorts flag, the resort spreads out rather than up, so guests move between suite, spa and shoreline without crossing a lobby crowd. The spa alone justifies a slow morning: eight treatment rooms, a steam bath, sauna and a Rainforest hydrotherapy circuit, staffed by therapists trained for 600 hours at the group's Banyan Spa & Wellbeing Academy. Families get a parallel version of the same calm, with a kids club, playroom and babysitting running alongside a fitness centre, table tennis and snorkelling that keep children busy while parents disappear for a massage. What separates this address from its Krabi neighbours is the Michelin Guide's Two Key distinction, a recognition few beach resorts in the region can claim. It won't suit anyone hoping to walk to a night market or a bar strip; Krabi town sits 19 kilometres off, and the hotel's own shuttle and transfer desk are how most guests get anywhere. There's a practical wrinkle worth knowing before booking: the main pool closes for upgrades from September 6 to 16, 2026, and work on the Kredkaew Bar continues through the end of the month, with guests offered a complimentary boat trip to Hong Island or a kayaking run to Klong Rut in the meantime. The suites and villas don't perform tranquility so much as sit quietly inside it, tools and all. Every suite and villa here has its own pool on Tub Keak Beach, and the Michelin Guide gave it a rare Two Key rating among Krabi resorts. The main pool and Kredkaew Bar are under renovation through September 2026, with a complimentary boat or kayak trip offered instead.

THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT

Your taste already has an address

As part of its sustainability programme, the resort partnered with local artisans from Souvenirs from the Sea to craft guest bags entirely from waste that washed up on Krabi's beaches. Presented as an eco-friendly amenity on arrival, it ties a stay directly to the region's coastal conservation work and the resort's broader community-focused environmental efforts.
