THE PINK NOTEBOOK VERDICT
Trisara Resort (Villas, Suites & Residences)
Thirty-nine villas and suites sit along two kilometres of private coastline at Trisara, on Phuket's north-western shore in Thalang, and the beach that runs the length of the property is kept for guests staying there, not shared with the public beyond. Built in 2004 and spread across a single floor, the resort favours width over height: even the smallest category, the Ocean View Pool Junior Suite, opens onto a floating reflection pool and 135 square metres of its own space, while the villas with pools run to 240 square metres with a private deck, and the multi-bedroom residences, some with ten bedrooms and a dedicated chef and butler on staff, sit apart again across 40 acres of grounds. Dining runs from PRU, the property's Michelin-starred kitchen, to the French menu at La Crique, with JAMPA and a dedicated wine cellar filling out the list, and JARA handles the spa side alongside a sauna, steam room and gym. Divers, sailors and windsurfers have equipment on site, and golf, tennis, a kids club and a children's pool cover families travelling in numbers. None of this suits anyone hoping to walk into central Phuket for dinner: the resort sits seven kilometres out, closer to Sirinat National Park than to town, and a deposit of 10,000 baht a day is taken at check-in. It rewards travellers who want a beach to themselves and are willing to pay for that privacy, and it will frustrate those who came to Phuket to be in the middle of it. The private beach is the reason to choose it over anywhere else on this coast. Trisara's beach and its two kilometres of coastline belong only to guests staying in the 39 villas, suites and residences here, from a 135 square metre Ocean View Pool Junior Suite to ten-bedroom compounds with a private chef and butler. Seven kilometres from central Phuket, it suits privacy over proximity.

Trisara's spa program, JARA Wellness, is featured among the resort's curated experiences alongside dining at the Michelin-starred restaurant PRU and the French restaurant La Crique. The wellness offering sits within the same tropical grounds as the villas, giving guests a dedicated space for treatments as part of a stay the resort frames around reflection and physical wellbeing.
