Couples wanting privacy over spectacle will find it easily; anyone chasing a lively pool scene or nightlife within walking distance should look elsewhere, since this stretch of Hua Hin trades on quiet. The transfer from Bangkok costs extra and the deposit at check-in is real money, but the point of the place is that once you are inside the gate, you rarely need to leave it.
